As a label we have been extremely fortunate to gain recognition very quickly and that has been down to the very fact that we do things our own way. By not looking at what the next person is doing, we have been able to concentrate on our own methods of working, and one angle of that is a complete disregard of genres.
With that in mind we wanted to look at how we could put together something to bring about many different styles to various different audiences. Music can sometimes be missed by one scene yet overwhelmingly adored through others. And this is something that we wanted to help join together somehow, which is why we came up with the idea of putting together an opportunity for many different producers to get involved – a remix competition.
In order to do this properly we needed to ensure we could gather such a broad audience in order to get involved in such a thing. Otherwise we would end up with a 1001 similar style tracks and none that really stood out. We wanted as much variation as possible.
This is why we have teamed up with The Unsigned Guide – the ultimate plethora of an industry contacts bible and Uk Music Jobs. In terms of viewers, there is probably no borader range of people that are subscribed and have used this guide from techno producers to film score arrangers.
The process is simple. We will be releasing the stems on our website this coming Friday and you will have 6 weeks to remix Sephirot’s ‘Didn’t They Have To Die’ track from his forthcoming ‘Broken Contact’ EP. The winners will have their versions released by ourselves on both digital AND vinyl. Runners up will also be given 12 months subscription to The Unsigned Guide.
What more can we say and what have you got to lose. Just be as different and original and get them entered.

Remember that this is a free for all. We are completely disregarding genres so be as
experimental as you like. Put in your efforts as we will be putting our favourite
remixes on vinyl and will release them through ourselves.
You have 6 weeks (which is a long time realistically) to put together your track and
get it in to us. We have set up a group on Soundcloud where you can send your
finished beast for us to get our lobes around. By all means send in your tracks
early if you get it finished before the deadline of 12th October.
