Rubberlips EP

A beautiful display of musicianship and dance floor friendly vibes, Rubber Lips deal primarily in experiments with deep house, ambient-tinged trip hop, and fully fledged jazzy orchestral sounds.
The project consists of a collective of musicians from West Yorkshire and revolves around the creative direction of one Robert Burbidge. Burbidge’s project earned its name as a reference to his years as a professional and in-demand trumpet player, jamming live over the likes of Louis Vega, Utah Saints, and Plump DJs.

His latest release through Itchy Pig Records and self titled EP is a melting pot of styles and influences that stretch between the likes of Jazzanova, Kruder & Dorfmeister, and Zero7.
Opening track New Horizons includes the spine tingling vocals of Jess Smethurst and should have you hooked from the moment you press play. If you’re rather partial to Nu Jazz, summery vibes and ridiculously infectious percussion then you’ve come to the right place. Delectable.
